Welcome to inUth’s live digital coverage of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017’s Match 51 between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Led by Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians are currently topping the table with 9 wins and a total of 18 points. On the other hand, KXIP have been performing really well in some of the previous games and are now at 5th position with 12 points.

And today, it’s a must-win situation for Glenn Maxwell & Co. who will be playing their next game away from home. If they win the game, their chances to reach the play-offs will increase a bit.

At this moment in the tournament, the toss will really matter a lot. Both the sides are pretty much comfortable while chasing down the target. Talking about Punjab’s bowling line-up, Sandeep Sharma has been playing an important role to restrict the flow of runs in the powerplay overs. However, they have to focus on sharpening their death over bowling attack.

As far as the batting department is concerned, Hashim Amla and David Miller have been ruled out of the tournament. Now at this situation, all the responsibilities come on the shoulder of the players like Manan Vohra, Martin Guptill, Shaun Marsh and skipper Maxwell who has the potentials to score on the Mumbai track.

On the other hand, Mumbai’s bowling looks very much balanced as they have been performing pretty up to the mark throughout in the tournament. Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Harbhajan Singh, Lasith Malinga, Mitchell McClenaghan have been performing really well and successful as well to pluck wickets.

While the batting department will be missing opener Jos Buttler as he has returned to England. Parthiv Patel to remain in the opening slot while Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Nitish Rana and Hardik Pandya are doing pretty well with the bat. In the last game, though Mumbai lost their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad but Rohit Sharma played a captain’s knock and scored 67 runs.
