Welcome to inUth’s live digital coverage of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017’s match 46 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. There’s nothing you can expect of Virat Kohli’s RCB as nothing has gone right for them in this tournament having lost 9 of their 12 games. On the other hand, there’s a side which has taken gambles and they proved to be lethal for the opposition team. But, at this stage RCB can play party-poopers for the other side as they have only 2 matches left. They are playing for pride and have nothing to lose.
RCB’s batting used to be the most feared across all T20 leagues, but, this time around it has been their weak link. No player has been able to stick to the crease, let alone score big, with a few exceptions. On a flip side, their bowling department has improved substantially. But, the big three, Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers have not been consistent at all and have lost their wickets early, exposing their middle order which falls even before putting up a fight. Also, Shane Watson has been a weak link despite tons of experience in T20s.

On the other hand, KKR have been a side who are almost sure of making it to the IPL 2017 playoffs, they need just 1 win to cement their place. KKR are currently in the 3rd spot with 7 wins from 11 games and a healthy run rate which might come in handy if they lose all their upcoming matches.
There might be a good news for KKR fans as their star player Chris Lynn might make a comeback to the side as he suffered a shoulder injury in the initial stages of the tournament. He has been back in the nets and practising. Robin Uthappa missed the previous match due to a niggle in the back. He might be available for today’s fixture as well.
Gautam Gambhir has been in good form scoring runs up the order and setting the pace for a chase or giving them a good start early on in the powerplay overs. With Colin de Grandhomme back in his form, their batting will be stronger than ever. They are fierce rivals and will be a tough side to beat, especially for RCB who bundled out for 49, the lowest score in the history of IPL.
