This is the big news in today’s second of the double-header, where Mumbai Indians take on Delhi Daredevils. Advantage for DD is that Harbhajan Singh is not playing and they will be hosting Mumbai Indians in their own backyard. After DD’s last performance it will not be wrong to say they are are a team in form. With Samson, Pant firing all guns, it is great news for DD that a good bowler will not be playing. For Mumbai Indians it is now about resting players and trying new combinations before the playoffs arrive. They are the table-toppers and they have sealed their spot.
After a strong bowling performance that restricted Mumbai to 142, Daredevils crumbled to 24 for 6 in the chase and lost by 14 short despite late resistance by Kagiso Rabada and Chris Morris, that is what happened last time around. The news making the rounds is that Gowtham could get a game instead of Harbhajan Singh.
Mumbai lead marginally overall, with a 10-9 record. However, they haven’t beaten Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla since 2011 – that is four wins in a row for the home team.
The thriller starts at 2000 hrs. Stay tuned to inUth.com.
