IPL 2017 MI vs KKR, Qualifier 2: Watch Karn Sharma’s 4 wicket haul which turned the game for Kolkata

The qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 10 finished with Mumbi Indians (MI) beating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 4 wickets and successfully entered the season finale. A superb bowling action was exhibited by the MI bowlers who restricted KKR at 106 runs. But the man who destroyed Kolkata’s top batting order was spinner Karn Sharma. He turned out to be the game changer for his team and took 4 important wickets of Gautam Gambhir, Colin de Grandhomme, Sunil Narine and Ishank Jaggi.

Earlier today, MI skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to field first. Gautam Gambhir & Co. looked totally helpless as they lost their 5 key players within 31 runs.

Karn Sharma, who was brought into the attack by Rohit Sharma in the 5th over, created the swirl in the pool right in his first over after he got Sunil Narine’s wicket.

Karn was back into the attack in the seventh over of the game. The over started with score 25/3 but ended with 31/5. Though 6 overs came off the over but Sharma took two back to back wickets in the 5th and 6th ball in the form of Gautam Gambhir (12) and Colin de Grandhomme (0).

After losing the above mentioned three wickets, KKR desperately needed a life support system. Batsmen Ishank Jaggi and Surya Kumar Yadav tried to provide the much-needed momentum at that moment but Karn Sharma again infiltrated their plans. In the 15th over, Sharma was back to deliver the over and in the 5th ball of the over he dismissed Jaggi as he tried to go for a biggie towards the long on region but Mitchell Johnson caught the bowl and Jaggi lost his wicket.

KKR managed to put just 106 runs on the board but Mumbai easily chased it down after losing 4 wickets and won the game by 6 wickets. And now, he final game on May 21 between MI and Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) will decide the ultimate champions of this season.
