Look who is in the house! Donning the Sunrisers Hyderabad jersey, she was spotted in the stands and cheering for her team against the Delhi Daredevils in the game number 21 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 10. And she was none other than the ‘Silver Shuttler’ of the nation, PV Sindhu. Usually, Telugu film star Venkatesh used to to be one of the popular faces in the crowd of people supporting his home team but this was for the first time that Sindhu made her IPL debut.
As per the pictures shared on the official website of the IPL, Sindhu was seen sitting in the stands and was passionately cheering for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. She also held the team flag and was spotted waving the same with utmost joy.
Well, Sindhu wasn’t the lone badminton star rallying in the game of cricket. Another Indian female badminton player Jwala Gutta was also present to back SRH. She was also seen waving the SRH team flag and expressed her support. This was not the first time that Gutta appeared to watch a live cricket game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. In the SRH’s previous game against Kings XI Punjab, Gutta was there as well.
Well, the crowd rejoiced the presence of both the badminton stars in the house. PV Sindhu made the entire nation proud after she grabbed the silver medal in Rio Olympics 2016 and became the first woman athlete to win a silver in Olympics. Also, in the recently concluded Indian Open Badminton series, she won the title after beating her arch rival Carolina Marine from Spain who defeated her in the Rio Olympics finale.
And no doubt that her presence turned out to be lucky for the Sunrisers Hyderabad as the batsmen performed massively and put a tough score of 192 runs for Delhi daredevils to chase.
