IPL 2017 RCB v KKR: Here’s why RCB players are wearing green jerseys

During the toss, RCB skipper Virat Kohli also presented a plant sapling to Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir in order to promote their “Go Green” initiative.

In a view to spread awareness for green and clean environment, Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore side are donning green jerseys in their Indian Premier League match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on May 7. This is not for the first time, RCB has worn the green dress in the previous editions as well.

During the toss, RCB skipper Virat Kohli also presented a plant sapling to Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir in order to promote their “Go Green” initiative.

Meanwhile, KKR skipper won the toss and he invited RCB to bat first. RCB is currently at the last position of the points as nothing has gone right for them in this tournament having lost 9 of their 12 games.

On the other hand, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan-owned KKR have been a side who are almost sure of making it to the IPL 2017 playoffs, they need just 1 win to cement their place. KKR are currently in the 3rd spot with 7 wins from 11 games.

RCB made one change on their squad brought in Travis Head in place of Shane Watson. While in

KKR, Australian big hitter Chris Lynn came in place of Nathan Coulter-Nile.
