After winning 7 games continuously at home, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have stepped out and reached Pune for their next game against the Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) in the game number 24 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 10. RPS skipper Steven Smith after winning the toss elected to bowl first and invited the Hyderabad guests to bat first.
Shikhar Dhawan and skipper David Warner came to open the inning and had a very good start. Dhawan continued his good form what he had after a long time in the previous game. After hitting 1 six and 3 fours, Dhawan smashed a quick 43 off 40 balls and along with Warner, added a total of 55 runs for the first wicket. In the 9th over, Hyderabad faced the first blow in the form of Shikhar Dhawan as he was dismissed by Imran Tahir.
Kane Williamson, who received the Man of the Match award in his first ever game in this season against Delhi, came in at number 3. Though Williamson had his natural pace of batting but it seemed that after Dhawan’s dismissal, Warner somewhere got slow in terms of scoring runs.
In the 13th over, Dane Christian dismissed Kane Williamson after he had scored 21 of 14 balls. Moises Henriques came at the crease at number 4 and finally, SRH innings started moving ahead with a vigorous pace. Meanwhile, in the 17th over, skipper Warner was attempting a switch-hit but he couldn’t read the ball and got bowled by Jayadaev Unadkat after scoring 43 off 40 balls.
From that point of time, Henriques and Deepak Hooda blasted out and added 45 runs for the 4th wicket. Henriques scored the third half-century in IPL 10 and after hitting 2 sixes and 6 fours, he ended up scoring 55 of 28 balls.
By the end of 20 overs, SRH successfully put 176 runs on the scoreboard after losing 3 wickets and now, RPS needs 177 runs to win.
