IPL 2017, RPS vs SRH, preview: Can Dhoni finally discover form?

Indian Premier League 2017, RPS v SRH: David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan have shown some sort of form and the others are contributing as an when required

Of course it is not going to be a cake-walk for Rising Pune Supergiant, when they lock horns with in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has not made any substantial contribution as well, to add to their woes. But talking about the other camp, David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan have shown some sort of form and the others are contributing as an when required, this is what will keep them in good stead when they take on RPS in the first of the double header Saturday.

The two sides will be meeting for the first time in IPL 2017.

And last year when they met, both teams won a match apiece.

Also, Pune will be buoyed by the performances of their Indian players – Rahul Tripathi, Manoj Tiwary, Shardul Thakur and Jaydev Unadkat – in their win over Royal Challengers that broke a three-match losing streak.

With three left-handers potentially in Sunrisers’ top five – David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan and Yuvraj Singh – Rising Pune could be better off continuing with Dan Christian. The battle begins at 04:00 pm IST.
