After enthralling crowd at the Hyderabad, IPL organisers on April 6 too organised the opening ceremony to entertain the crowd at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on the second day of Indian Premier League (IPL). This is for the first time in IPL’s history that the event organisers have decided to provide some ‘Manoranjan’ before the beginning of the first match in all the venues.
Today ahead of Rising Pune Supergiant and Mumbai Indians match, Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh and singer Shalmali Kholgade set the stage on fire with their performances.
Amid loud cheer from the crowd, local hero Riteish danced at the podium alongside local drum players.
On the other hand, singer Shalmali’s hit number ‘Latt lag gayi’ from Race 2 received a thunderous response.

After their performances, both the captains Rohit Sharma from Mumbai Indians and Steven Smith walked into the field for the toss.
In a surprise move, RPS skipper Smith won the toss and elected to field first.
Earlier on April 5, the opening day of the Indian Premier League season 10, Bollywood hottied Amy Jackson entertained the cricket fans with their performance.
Till the last report came in, Mumbai Indians were struggling at 93-4. For RPS Imran Tahir took the vital 3 wickets including of Mumbai Indian skipper Rohit Sharma.
