Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper joined the Indian Premier League (IPL) 10 on April 14 in the game against the Mumbai Indians and he did the same thing what he was expected to do. Kohli was back with a bang and he played a huge knock of 62 off 47 balls but his feat was not enough for his team to win the game. RCB couldn’t pull it to victory and lost the game against MI by 4 wickets.
And ahead of Bangalore’s next game against the Rising Pune Supergiants, Kohli is utilising the free time up to the fullest and relaxing. Virat posted his picture on Instagram where he was seen relaxing and also wrote a post which says,”An off day and watching the ipl games is always a good feeling. Recovering from soreness of playing after a month.”
Skipper Virat Kohli couldn’t join the RCB team right from the beginning of the tournament as he suffered a severe shoulder injury in the Ranchi Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The impact of the injury was so intense that he was ruled out of the last Test of the series played in Dharamsala and Anjikya Rahane led team India.
After getting recovered fully, Kohli joined the Bangalore squad in their third game against the Mumbai Indians. The entire team, in the second innings, had almost thought that are through the game after Samuel Badree got an hat-trick and dismissed Parthiv Patel Mitchell McClenaghan and Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma.
But the way Kieron Pollard played, it all ended the story and with the phenomenal 70 runs’ contribution from Pollard, Mumbai won the game by 4 wickets.
Despite the loss, RCB are confident to face the Rising Pune Supergiant at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on April 16.
