Ravichandran Ashwin, who is a part of the Rising Pune Supergiant outfit, which emerged runners-up at this year’s Indian Premier League. He was missing out the entire season owing to an harnea problem. Rising Pune Supergiant lost out to Mumbai Indians in a photo-finish by 1 run and the credit of masterminding or curating the win has to go to Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma, who according to his wife was going through a rough time mentally really showed the steel when it mattered. But also large share of the credit goes to Ritika Sajdeh who also stood by Rohit in his thick and thin.
Ravichandran Ashwin recently in an interview spoke about Rohit Sharma and his reply was strange, we wonder why. He apparently said, “Without being diplomatic, it is very difficult to say who is lazy as we cannot afford to be lazy. If you are lazy, you will be sorted out. But Rohit (Sharma), it has to be when it comes to lazy elegance.”
It now appears that Ashwin was also praising him by calling it that he can afford to do it as he has a lazy elegance when he bats as well.
Talking about the first autograph he took, he shyly replied, “The first autograph I took of a cricketer was Sunny bhai’s (Sunil Gavaskar) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. I went to the commentary box. My second autograph was at the Chennai airport of Kapil Dev and Manoj Prabhakar. These are the first three autographs if cricketers,” he said.
