Mumbai Indians pulled off a thrilling four-wicket victory against Kolkata-Knight Riders on Sunday evening. The match kept the viewers on the edge of their seats with its several nail-biting moments. From Chris Lynn’s dismissal to Manish Pandey’s unbeaten knock of 81 that helped KKR reach a respectable total of 178, the first innings of the match set a perfect platform for the high-voltage contest.
Wickets of Parthiv Patel and Jos Buttler who got Mumbai Indians to a flyin start, tilted the match in KKR’s favour. Especially Rohit Sharma’s stinky dismissal seemed to take the game away from Mumbai Indians. A visibly angry Rohit accepted his fate slowly walked off. This was followed closely by Kieron Pollard’s dismissal and it looked like the wicket may have cost Mumbai the match.
The right-hander was sent back to pavillion after umpire CK Nandan gave a horrible LBW decision when the ball had clearly taken a huge inside edge. However, it was Nitish Rana and Hardik Pandya who held nerves in the final overs and won the game.
Following the thrilling victory, Twitter was flooded with reactions from supporters of both sides. Here we have compiled some of the best tweets.
