Match number 32 of the ongoing season of the cash-rich Indian Premier League witnessed a hilarious moment that will be remembered for a longer period of time. The incident happened during the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils held at the iconic Eden Gardens on April 28.
It was the sixth over of Kolkata’s innings when an inform batsman Robin Uthappa played a stroke and he got the leading edge and the ball traveled between short fine leg and square leg but the mix-up between Sanju Samson and Amit Mishra saw the ball fell between them, a ROFL moment. The Karnataka batsman was on nine at that time.
Uthappa then went on to score 59 off just 33 balls. Uthappa’s this innings helped KKR register a seven-wicket win to stay at the top of the points table and inch closer to the playoffs.

“Catches do count. Catches win matches and there was a dropped chance and he (Uthappa) made use of it. I think that cost us the match,” said Samson, whose 60 off 38 balls went in vain as Delhi posted 160 after being asked to bat first.
“It’s a busy crowd here lot of noise, so it’s not easy to communicate when the ball goes up. It happens in a match but I think we need to move on. we have a match day after. We have to forget it and move on,” the 22-year-old added.
Delhi are languishing at the bottom of the table after playing seven games with just four points in their kitty.
