As the Kolkata Knight Riders went into a raging battle against the Kings XI Punjab on April 13, former Australian speedster Brett Lee, who also played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the earlier editions of the Indian Premier League, wished the team good luck; or, as he put it: ‘Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo!’
In a 40-second audio clip shared by the official KKR Facebook page, Lee could be seen pumping up the golden warriors ahead of the high-octane clash. “Let’s look at the positive stuff. Amazing squad. Great team. Jacques Kallis, the greatest all-rounder to ever play the game is the coach; Simon Katich as another assistant coach.
“Let’s make sure we go into the next game with the right attitude, to go in there and play the stellar cricket, the brand new cricket, and go win the match. As I’ve said as an ex-KKR player, Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo! Good luck, boys!” he said ahead of the Kolkata Knight Rider’s first home game.
At the end of the first innings, the high-flying Punjab, who have won both their matches, set a target of 171. Kolkata, in a surprising move, opened the second innings with Sunil Narine after the new found hero Chris Lynn was ruled out of the game at Eden Gardens owing to his injury.
