Though Delhi Daredevils lost their first encounter of the Indian Premier League against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 8, but there was one moment when Delhi Daredevils playing XI were fielding after losing the much important toss.
The moment happened during the start of the fourth over when RCB’s explosive batsman Chris Gayle was on strike. Jamaican Gayle mistimed a full toss delivery bowled by pacer Chris Morris and was caught by Sanju Samson at the mid-wicket. The catch was absolute stunner.
Earlier, Kedar Jadhav’s fiery 37-ball 69 runs knock helped Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) set the target of 157/7 against the DD. Jadhav’s knock was laced with five fours and as many sixes.
In reply, Zaheer Khan-led Delhi Daredevils failed to chase the target as they only managed to score 142/9. The lost the battle by 15 runs.

But, one thing to be noted that young left-handed batsman Rishabh Pant, whose father died on Wednesday, showed a lot of composure as he waged a lone battle for Delhi with a cracking 57 off 36 deliveries.
Jadhav, for his superb performance, was adjudged the man of the match and Samson for his stunner received the ‘perfect catch of the match award.
RCB will now play its next match against actress Preity Zinta co-owned Kings XI Punjab at Holkar stadium in Indore.
