Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) registered their second win in Indian Premier League (IPL) 10 beating Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by 8 wickets with 21 balls to spare. But, that is not the highlight of the game, skipper Gautam Gambhir’s catch is. On the last ball of KXIP’s innings, Varun Aaron tried to hit the ball over covers for a boundary as he wanted to finish the game in style. But Gambhir’s effort ensured that KXIP do not take the momentum with them before the start of the second innings.
Aaron played the ball in the air, almost straight to Gambhir’s throat making it one of the easiest catch chances you will ever see. But, Gambhir, made a mess of it as the ball slipped from his palms. Gambhir tried to recollect the ball before it fell on the ground. Aaron got out in the end but it was not his first, not second, not third, not fourth but his fifth attempt in which he finally caught hold of the ball and as English all-rounder Chris Woakes claimed the wicket.

KKR was on their sloppiest best today in the field as Sunil Narine dropped the catch of Manan Vohra in the first over followed by a boundary that he gave away later in the innings.
There was one more instance which can be described by one title, ‘Comedy of errors’. As Mohit Sharma and Varun Aaron tried to do damage control after three quick wickets. They were knocking the ball around in an attempt to convert singles into doubles. They did that but KKR fielders got too excited.
In an attempt to run them out, at first overthrow, they converted the couple into three, on one more misfield they were able to run 4 runs on the 22-yard pitch as KKR fielders trolled themselves.
