Watch: RCB's Kedar Jadhav copies Mahendra Singh Dhoni, plays Helicopter shot in IPL 10

Kedhar Jadhav attempted the Helicopter shot during the 13th over of RCB's innings in an IPL match against Delhi Daredevils

Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Kedar Jadhav grabbed the spotlight after his fiery half century helped Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Delhi Daredevils (DD) by 15 runs in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on April 8.

The batsman, hailing from Maharashtra, not only received praises from all quarters for his sensible knock, but also for his shot selection. Interestingly during his stay at the crease he also copied former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and played a Helicopter shot.

He attempted this shot during the 13th over of RCB’s innings. He played the Helicopter shot to wide on to clear the rope. At that time, he was batting at 33.

Jadhav not only blasted a quick-fire 37-ball 69, but more importantly shared a 66-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Stuart Binny (16) to help the hosts post a fighting total of 157/7. Jadhav’s knock was laced with five fours and as many sixes.

In reply, Delhi Daredevils failed to chase the target as they only managed to score 142/9. But, one thing to be noted that young left-handed batsman Rishabh Pant, whose father died on Wednesday, showed a lot of composure as he waged a lone battle for Delhi with a cracking 57 off 36 deliveries.

Jadhav, for his superb performance, was adjudged the man of the match.
