Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma stunned thousands of die-hard cricket fan with his magnificent catch during an Indian Premier League match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on April 14.
It was during the 16th over of Royal Challengers innings, when Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma dived towards his wrong side to take a one-handed stunner to dismiss the dangerous RCB batsman AB de Villiers. Right-handed batsman from South Africa was at 19 off 20 balls.
Earlier Mumbai Indians won the toss and asked RCB to bat first. Virat Kohli, who was out of the actions due to shoulder injury he suffered during the third test match against Australia last month, made a come back and he replaced Shane Watson. Kohli missed this seasons first three league ties, including two away at Hyderabad on April 5 and Indore on April 10 and one in Bengaluru on April 8.

As Kohli walked into the middle to open the innings with Chris Gayle fans cheered him loudly and chants of “Kohli, Kohli” reverberated across the packed stands. Virat Kohli top scored for his team with 62 off 47 balls. RCB managed to put up 143 runs target for MI in their quota of 20 overs.
In reply, Mumbai Indian off to a shaky start as wrist spinner bowler from West Indies Samuel Badree claimed the first hat-trick of this IPL season. Badree first claimed Parthiv Patel, followed by Mitchell McClenaghan and then clean bowled Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma to claim the feat.
Later, West Indian Kieron Pollard played the sensible innings to guide Mumbai to claim another victory. During his 70 runs knock off 47 balls, Pollard smashed 5 sixes and 3 fours. Mumbai Indians achieved the target set by RCB with 4 wickets remaining.
Meanwhile, Rohit for his super catch awarded with perfect catch of the match award worth Rs 1 lakh.
