MS Dhoni got sacked from Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) side in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 but his fan following has not been effected even a teeny-tiny bit. A fan made a video fo Dhoni being compared to ‘Amrendra Baahubali’ in the record-breaking blockbuster movie ‘Baahubali-2’. The trailer has excerpts from Dhoni’s advertisements over the years depicting the hard work he had to go through leading the Indian team to two title wins— ICC T20 World Cup 2007 and ICC World Cup 2011.
The video will definitely give Dhoni fans goosebumps as their mind will take a route down the memory lane into Dhoni’s golden years. Dhoni has not been to the best of his form in this season of IPL but has shown glimpses of his brilliance every now and then whether it is behind the stumps, with the bat or in decision making despite Steven Smith being the skipper of the side.
The video also has footage from ‘MS Dhoni: the Untold Story’ in which Sushant Singh Rajput plays the reel Dhoni. A flurry of helicopter shots can be seen in the video. Dhoni recently impressed us with his catching skills against Kings XI Punjab in a ‘do-or-die’ clash. Dhoni has scored 240 runs in 14 matches at an average of 24 including a match-winning 61.
RPS are to face Mumbai Indians (MI) in the first qualifier of IPL 2017 at Wankhede. They are in high spirits having beaten MI two times in the season already despite the home team’s great run in the tournament. But, Ben Stokes leaving the tournament will surely have a big impact on them. Dhoni is due for a big knock and he might get promoted up the order to work his magic with the bat and treat Wankhede crowd with his trademark ‘helicopter shot’.
