Watch: Virat Kohli gifts his LUCKY BAT to Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Chris Gayle’s foundation

Virat Kohli has been making headlines with his act of kindness as he donates his bat to 'Universe Boss' aka Chris Gayle's foundation

Virat Kohli does a kind gesture for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammate and friend Chris Gayle’s foundation by gifting him one of his favourite bats. It’s the same organisation for which Kohli will put his bat for auction during an event to be held in London on June 6, two days after India’s first game against Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy 2017. The foundation aims at helping the underprivileged people in backward areas.

The auction of the bat will be done in Gayle’s event, ‘The Chris Gayle dinner’. It will be a good platform to get big bucks for Kohli’s bat due to the excitement created in England & Wales who are hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

Chris Gayle Foundation’s Twitter handle posted a video with Kohli’s bat with text written over it from the owner of the bat himself. The text read, “This bat is one of my personal favourites and one which I cherished playing with! Best wishes.”

Huge thanks to @imVkohli and his donation of one of his favourite bats! Attend the @henrygayle dinner and bid https://t.co/et3ghX8qpB pic.twitter.com/MiBvOS5EET

The host of ‘The Chris Gayle dinner’ is to be hosted by famous English personality Piers Morgan who has been often trolled by former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag on Twitter. The list of special guests include former English cricketers Ravi Bopara, Kevin Pietersen and Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh who himself has been selected in the Champions Trophy squad.

Kohli and Gayle had a forgettable season as RCB finished at the last spot in IPL 2017 standings despite being the runner-ups from the previous season. Though Kohli got into form just in time in the last league game of IPL 2017 and so did Gayle.

Kohli will be leading the Indian side in Champions Trophy 2017 whereas Gayle will be absent from the tournament because West Indies could not make it into the top eight of the ICC ODI Rankings before the cut-off date.
