Good news has come from all the directions for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Soon after winning the first game against Delhi Daredevils in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017, stand-in captain Shane Watson reveals in the post-match press conference to Sanjay Manjrekar that injured players will be making a comeback in the next game. The RCB crowd at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore roared as soon as they got the news from Watson.
Manjrekar asked Watson, “What’s the news on your star players?”. Watson had a prompt answer to Manjrekar’s question as he said, “They are back next game”. Manjrekar happily said, “That’s wonderful news.”

Watson teases RCB fans further when Manjrekar tries to confirm the news asking whether it’s a reliable source or not. Watson left the availability to speculations saying ‘probably not’. Watson had a good laugh after that.
Not only Kohli but AB de Villiers too might be making a comeback in the side as he was unfit to play in the initial matches. Had de Villiers been fit to play, he would have captained the side instead of Watson.
RCB registered their first win in the tournament after they lost comprehensively to defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 10 opener.
Kohli suffered the shoulder injury at Ranchi on Day 1 of the third Test in Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. He did not play in the decider at Dharamsala as well.
Kohli and de Villiers’ presence will be crucial for RCB as they had several 100 plus partnerships in the previous season of IPL.
