Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians in a thrilling season opener of Indian Premier League 11. Dwayne Bravo’s 68 off 30 it was, that helped Chennai Super Kings get off to a winning start after making a comeback to IPL after two years. Mid-way through the match, one felt that CSK had lost the plot, thanks to a dream spell by Mayank Markande on his debut. But Bravo and especially an injured-Kedar Jadhav saw the yellow army home at Wankhede Stadium.

So, here is what happened, it was the penultimate over of the match, Jasprit Bumrah was the bowler, CSK requiring 13 off 9 balls, after Bravo hit a couple of sixes of the first two balls and then took a couple of runs. This happened in the fourth ball of the over, it was a yorker by Bumrah round the wicket, Bravo wanted to touch and run, only to realise the ball had rolled back to even hit the stumps. To Bravo’s surprise, the bails did not come off and Bravo was let off, but he got out of the very next ball.
