Chennai Super Kings (CSK) rode on a superb half-century knock from Faf du Plessis to clinch an edge-of-the-seat thriller against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by two wickets in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 Qualifier 1 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 22.
du Plessis batted through the innings to remain not out on 67 runs off just 42 balls. During his stay at the middle, the South African captain smashed five fours and four sixes. Chasing 140 runs to win, du Plessis single-handedly took the game away from SRH in the last over as no other CSK batsman was able to score much.
With this win, CSK reached the finals of the IPL 2018.

Post-victory, CSK players including Dwayne Bravo, Harbhajan Singh and other staff members sang a song to honour their captain MS Dhoni.

IPL 2018 finals will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 27. The second team for the finale is yet to be decided.
