IPL 2018: The last-over win means Chennai Super Kings go top of the table and Sunrisers Hyderabad slide to the fourth spot

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) edged out Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 4 runs in an edge-of-the-seat IPL 2018 league clash. It was a match where fortunes swung like a pendulum. The episode panned out in the 17th over of the match, which was being bowled by Shardul Thakur. According to Thakur, that one ball may have made the difference. Well, Thakur bowled a ball that seemed above the waist level of Williamson, and hence it should have been called a ‘no-ball’ but that was not to be and that is what irked fans and the cricketing fraternity.

Had it been called a no-ball, Williamson, who was in a red-hot form, would have got an extra ball to face. Williamson scored a breathtaking 84 off 51 balls. The last-over win means CSK go top of the table and Sunrisers Hyderabad side to the fourth spot.
