Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who made a comeback into Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 season following a two-year ban over spot-fixing scandal, have virtually sealed their place in the IPL 2018 playoffs, thanks to skipper MS Dhoni who led the team from the front in almost all the games they have played so far.
Dhoni has so far scored 360 runs in 10 matches at an average of 90.00. He has three half-centuries to his name.
With seven wins and three defeats in 10 matches, Dhoni-led CSK side are currently at Number 2 on the IPL 2018 points table and they need one more win to seal their place in the playoffs.
Soon after CSK registered a victory over Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Pune where skipper MSD famously finished the match by smashing three sixes off RCB’s star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal to take his side across the line in the 18th over. ‘Man of the Match’ Ravindra Jadeja revealed what kind of talks Dhoni has with his team, which essentially have played a crucial role in the two-time champions’ fine run in IPL 2018.
“Mahi bhai hamesha kehte hain, hum haarenge bhi saath mein aur jeetenge bhi saath mein (Dhoni always says we will lose and win together). He injects confidence in us. This motivates us a lot,” Jadeja said during the interaction after the match.

Jadeja, who claimed three wickets while conceding just 18 runs at an economy of 4.50, further said, “Whether we win or lose, we never blame each other. The entire team is responsible for victory or defeat. That’s the mantra of CSK.”
CSK will next face Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 11.
