AB de Villiers has been in a stupendous form this season, hammering the ball all around the park and making the bowlers scratch their heads. Against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), he continued to do the same by scoring a quickfire knock of 68 runs from just 30 balls. ABD was in a no-nonsense mood as soon as he came to bat. Mr 360 took on Shardul Thakur and struck him for three sixes in a row. It seemed he was making up for playing four dot balls in a row when he came to bat after Virat Kohli’s wicket in the fifth over.
He took on Harbhajan Singh in the last over of powerplay, hitting him for 2 sixes and 1 four. He did not score much in Imran Tahir’s first over and took his time. However, in the next over, De Villiers did not pay any respects to his South African teammate.
He hit him for a four and a six in the first three deliveries of 11th over but more was yet to come. On the fourth ball, De Villiers got down on one knee and struck the ball over midwicket boundary and out of the stadium for a 111-metre six.
