Jos Buttler seems to be having a great Indian summer with the bat. The English wicketkeeper brought up his fourth consecutive 50 in IPL 2018. With this, he not only equals Virat Kohli but also has the chance to go past Virender Sehwag who holds the record for the most consecutive 50’s in the IPL history. This is a big record considering English cricketers are traditionally not good against spin. It seems Buttler is breaking the stereotypes. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings are taking on Rajasthan Royals.

Even with Buttler in red-hot form, Royals have not had a good season thus far. They have played 10 matches, managing to win just 4 out of that. They still stand a chance of making the playoffs, but for that, they will have to play out of their skins. Going by the book, they need to win 3 out of their remaining 4 matches (including the ongoing game). In the 11 matches played till today, Buttler has 378 runs at an average of 41.77.

Meanwhile, CSK won the toss and opted to bat first. They put up a healthy 176. Raina, who was the pick of the CSK batsman as he scored 52 off 35 balls. He also brought up his 3rd fifty of the season and became the first CSK player to score 4000 IPL runs.
As we speak, Royals are 91 for 2 in the 10th over with Buttler and Samson at the crease. Rajasthan Royals require another 85 runs with 8 wickets and 56 balls remaining. The match is set up for a riveting finish.
So do not go off to sleep!
