Mahendra Singh Dhoni handing over captaincy of Rising Pune Supergiant grabbed all the limelight ahead of the Indian Premier League 2017. But then to make it to the finals after starting of the season scratchily has taken some getting. In fact to make matters worse Ben Stokes, the star allrounder was also unavailable for the last few games, still RPS played like sheer champions to show the nerves when it mattered. MSD and Smith’s equation has played a very crucial role in making it happen. MSD may not had had the best of tournaments but just his sheer presence alongside Steve Smith has been the key to their success. But Rising Pune Supergiant owner Sanjiv Goenka’s brother Harsh Goenka has been the person who has been making all the noise after he tweeted about the two senior RPS players and compared them.
Outstanding combinations:
Laurel- Hardy
Jai -Veeru
Smith- Dhoni#IPLfinal— Harsh Goenka (@hvgoenka) May 21, 2017
It was Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra who played the characters Jai-Veeru from Sholay which still remains as an iconic film in Indian cinema scope.
He also went on to make a weird comparison between MSD-Smith to the iconic English characters Laurel and Hardy, strange, but true.
Before the match too Harsh Goenka the owners brother said that Smith is one step ahead of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. This statement of his drew a lot of flak from his followers. He has removed that tweet but here is the screenshot of it.
Here are what the trollers said:
#MSDhoni now Goenka came to know who is the king of the jungle I m a punekar but cannot support them if they insult our legend #respectDhoni

In the clutter of myriad logos on IPL team shirts, helmets, the only one perhaps you will remember is the sponsor of ‘strategic time out’.
