Kamran Akmal and unintentional mishaps go hand in hand. Despite doing reasonably well in domestic cricket, it is Kamran’s blunders that make news, not his performance. The most recent one came during T10 League 2018 clash between Punjabi Legends and Maratha Arabians.
In the 8th over of the first innings, Rashid Khan was able to deceive Umar Akmal with a wide yorker as soon as he saw him coming down the track. Umar was way out of the crease and Kamran had all the time in the world to take the bails off and stump his brother.
But Kamran made a total mess of it. He could not get hold of the ball as it went past his gloves to the first slip fielder. Even the slip fielder could not gather the ball as he was surprised that Kamran would let this one go.
So Kamran Akmal missed a stump chance when Umar Akmal was batting. You guy must see this clip, that’s just not cricket by both Akmal brothers. Even our Under 12 wicket keeper had taken Umar Akmal off the field.#T10League#WatchMyBack pic.twitter.com/pjlmIiUmnF

Rashid was denied a wicket because of Kamran’s faux pas behind the stumps. Umar went on to score 31 runs off 18 deliveries whereas his brother went on to have a forgettable match getting out for a duck.
One thing is for sure, Kamran Akmal is one of the most unpredictable wicketkeeper-batsman in the world. If you don’t think so, go check his statistics. Still the best wicketkeeper they have had till date excluding a few missed chances here and there (pun intended).
