In the high voltage clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kuldeep was left on the field on the verge of a meltdown after Moeen Ali’s 3 sixes and 2 fours in his final over.
Kuldeep gave away as many as 59 runs in four overs. The chinaman created an embarrassing record for the joint-most runs in an innings for a spinner in Indian Premier League’s (IPL) history. He joined Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) Imran Tahir on top of the list. He is also the second-most expensive bowler for KKR in IPL history.
But, the 24-year-old had it rough in his fourth over when he faced the onslaught from Moeen Ali, smashing Kuldeep with fours and sixes. In the end, Kuldeep got the wicket of the Englishman but gave away as many as 27 runs in the 15th over of RCB’s innings.
It has been a tough season for the KKR spinner but never in his career has he been hit for so many runs in a single over. Looking visibly distraught, Kuldeep was seen welling up on the field after that performance.
While many trolled him on Twitter for the expensive spell, others tried to act sensibly and support him:
I am worried about Kuldeep. He needs a break perhaps. He’s crucial for India’s World Cup chances.#KKRvRCB #IPL2018

To the people trolling Kuldeep Yadav, you’re trolling someone who is currently in the Top 10 T20 bowlers rankings and is going to be the Lead spinner in the World Cup’19 campaign for team India.
You don’t need to cry young man, Have a brave heart!#IPL2019 #KKRvRCB @IamNicck pic.twitter.com/5JVvC8wSk0

While I really enjoyed Virat’s batting innings thoroughly, a part of me felt really sad for Kuldeep Yadav.
He was in tears when he was taken apart by Moeen Ali.
Chin up, young man.
Brighter and better days are to follow. You are an absolute star#KKRvRCB #VIVOIPL— Vattikuti Sateesh (@VattikutiSatee1) April 19, 2019

Cricket is a sport played with a lot of emotions and life into it. It is so endearing to see kuldeep break down. Endearing could only be the best word to use instead of disheartening. #kuldeepyadav

Kuldeep Yadav looked absolutely distraught after that Moeen Ali onslaught.
Looks absolutely stressed and tired. He is one of the major cards for India in the World Cup and should be looked after well.
Hope the BCCI takes some stand. #KKRvsRCB

Kuldeep Yadav seriously deserve a break as I feel he has reached his break-in point & for the sake of the Indian team KKR management rest him #KKRvRCB

The left-arm spinner has had a forgetful IPL 2019 so far as he has claimed only 4 wickets in the season and leaked runs at an economy rate. With the upcoming World Cup 2019, the ODI bowler, who is ranked 7th, should ideally be physically and mentally prepared to take on the challenges.
