Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has been in news for his foul comments and opinions on players over the years. But, this time around he has even outdone himself, he has not even included Virat Kohli in his Champions Trophy XI. And on top of that when asked about why no Kohli in the XI, he tried to mock one of his followers on Twitter. It is quite obvious that Vaughan knows Kohli is the No.1 ranked ODI batsman in the world but he did not care to include him in his Champions Trophy XI.
Only two Indian players could make it into his side of the tournament upon it’s conclusion. Indian openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma were included in the side for their premium performance in the tournament. Dhawan was even awarded the Golden Bat for scoring most runs (338).
Let’s have a look at Michael Vaughan’s XI:
Fakhar Zaman, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Joe Root, Shakib Al Hasan, Ben Stokes, Sarfraz Ahmed (c), Adil Rashid, Mohammad Amir, Junaid Khan, Hasan Ali.

Why should Virat be in this team ?? https://t.co/2tCzCmBtxk

No Indian Fan with sense would think that @imVkohli would get in the Combined Team of the Tournament :… #JustSaying

He has made Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed’s which was quite obvious seeing the way he led his team after losing the first match. However, apart from him he has included three more Pakistan players. The selection of Mohammad Amir and Hasan Li seemed justified but including Junaid Khan was a bit shocking. He would have easily chosen Bhuvneshwar Kumar who has done so well for India throughout the tournament.
He had a few words for India’s Head Coach Anil Kumble’s controversial resignation as well.
India are losing a Great man in @anilkumble1074 … realty hope he stays in some role …. far too good a bloke to lose … #India
