Indian ace shuttler PV Sindhu lost the Dubai Open finals against Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi on December 17. Despite giving a tough competition to her opponent and beating her by a good margin in the first set, Sindhu couldn’t win the rest of the sets and lost the game by 21-15, 12-21, 19-21. Meanwhile, Bollywood veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan posted a heart-warming tweet and said that he was proud of her and that she should take the loss as a means to strengthen herself.

During the final, there was a moment when the game was tied at 13-13 and both Sindhu and Yamaguchi played a non-stop 52 shots rally. Amid the tough fight, Sindhu’s cross-court drop shot made the difference as Yamaguchi only managed to slide the shuttle under the net.
