CWG 2018: PM Narendra Modi To Abhinav Bindra, How They Wished The Indian Contingent

The Indian contingent grabbed 64 medals in the last Commonwealth Games held at Glasgow in 2014

Commonwealth Games or Gold Coast 2018 have officially begun and the opening ceremony was no less than a spectacle. For India, the games got off to a nightmarish start as needles and syringes were found outside the hotel rooms of Indian athletes, resulting in a probe. But things got sorted as they were let-off with a mild warning. The Indian contingent comprises of around 200 athletes.

This time, with a contingent of over 200 athletes, India aims to cross the 100 mark. India’s biggest medal hopes at the Gold Coast are PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, The Men’s Hockey team, Mary Kom and the wrestlers.

Here is how the world wished Indian contingent the very best ahead of the games:

The Atmosphere surrounding the opening ceremony is one of festivity. Ahead of the battles of competition it gives athletes a chance to enjoy where they are reached thus far. Wishing all the athletescompeting @GC2018 all the best and a great evening ahead !
