Olympic bronze medalist Sakshi Malik got another feather in her cap after she won the gold medal in 62kg category at the National Wrestling Championship held in Indore. Earlier, in her opening bout, she pinned down her rival in just 39 seconds and eventually sailed into the final of 62kg. In the finals she fought Haryana wrestler Pooja. Sakshi dominated her opponent through out the game and didn’t let her take even a single point. The game turned out to be one-sided and Sakshi beaten Pooja by 10-0.
A day after clinching the gold in Indore, Sakshi took to her official Twitter account to share the video of her final bout. It could be seen how her opponent struggled throughout the game to gain a point while Sakshi was at her level best.

Meanwhile, Geeta posted a come-from-behind win to make it to the finals of 59kg with a 8-4 result over Sarita Mor 8-4. Even Geeta’s husband Pawan Kumar also managed to finish on top in 86kg. After the victory, the winner couple shared their photo on Twitter.

Double Olympic medal winner Sushil Kumar also clinched the gold in 75kg category without even fighting the final bout. Neither he fought in quarter and semifinal. All his opponents gave him walkover in the bouts which made him the national champion.
