Indian shooters Saurabh Chaudhary and Abhishek Verma bagged the gold and bronze medal in the Men’s 10 metre Air Pistol final in the ongoing 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta on August 21.
Saurabh clinched the gold after a score of 240.7 while Abhishek stood third scoring 219.3.
Tomoyuki Matsuda of Japan secured the silver with 239.7.

This is India’s third gold medal. With 7 medals overall, India now stands at No 7 in the medal tally.

Earlier, wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat won gold for India.
Bajrang Punia won India’s first gold medal after he defeated Daichi Takatani of Japan 11-8 in the men’s freestyle 65-kg category while Phogat became the first Indian woman wrestler to win an Asian Games gold. She defeated Japan’s Irie Yuki 6-2.
In 10m air rifle event, India’s Deepak Kumar won the silver medal. He shot 247.7 to finish second on the podium behind China’s Haoran Yang, who won the top prize with a Games record 249.1.
Besides, Lakshay Sheoran gave India its fourth medal after he won the silver medal in Men’s trap shooting finals.
On August 19, shooters Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar bagged the first medal for India. They won a bronze medal on the opening day of the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta.
