Suyash Jadhav during chit-chat with Sehwag shared his life journey in which he revealed how he lost his hands

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, who is popular on Twitter for his witty one-liners, is back in the headlines. This time he is in the spotlight for his TV series ‘13 Khiladi, Sapna Ek, Umeed India‘ with Epic Channel. The show, which airs every Thursday at 8 pm will be hosted by Virender Sehwag. The show will showcase the journey of sportspersons who aim to win gold at Olympics 2020. The list includes Olympic medallist Sakshi Malik, Shot Put player Om Prakash Karhana, Sprinter Dutee Chand, Judoka Avtar Singh, Wrestler Vinesh Phogat, Rower Dattu Bhokanal, among others.

Recently, the former Indian opening batsman met Paralympian swimmer Suyash Yadav. The swimmer, during a conversation with Sehwag, shared his life journey in which he revealed how he lost his hands, and how he built his dreams, aspiration, and hopes. Suyash is the only Indian Para swimmer to register the ‘A’ qualifying mark for the 2016 Paralympics in Rio.

“ Following my father’s footstep. I started swimming at a very young age as I wanted to fulfil his dream of winning medals at International level,” Suyash Yadav to Sehwag.

Asked about the incident during which he lost his hands, Suyash said: “ When I was in 6th standard, I think in 2004, I was playing with rods in my brother’s school. I was balancing the rod with one hand, unfortunately, I used my second hand too to balance the rod. The rod got stuck to the electric wire going through above my head and I got electrocuted.”

Suyash has so far won four medals at the 2015 Winter Open Polish Championship in November and continued his medal-winning form in 2016  where he won three silver medals in Germany.
