Former Indian captain Rahul Dravid on January 11 turned 45. Dravid, who is currently in New Zealand for the U-19 World Cup tournament, celebrated his birthday with the Indian colts.
Dravid, popularly known as ‘The Wall’ amongst cricket fans, is the coach of the U-19 Indian cricket team.
Indian U-19 team led by Prithvi Shaw celebrated their coach’s birthday in style as they smeared the cake on birthday boy’s face.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India shared a video of Dravid’s birthday celebrations on their official website BCCI.tv.

Rahul Dravid has 24,208 runs in international cricket including 36 Test centuries and 12 ODI centuries.
Since 2015, when former Indian captain Rahul Dravid took over the charge to coach the Indian colts, the U-19 team has been registering victories in almost all of their matches they are playing at home or even on foreign soil.

Under his mentorship, many players like Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan, Zeeshan Ansari, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Washington Sundar among others have emerged stronger and are now looking to make it a big with their presence in the national side.

Meanwhile, the Indian U-19 team will start their World Cup campaign against Australia on January 14, 2018. They will next face Papua New Guinea U19 on January 16 and Zimbabwe U19 on January 19.
