Ravindra Jadeja has been out of the Indian side for a while now. Ahead of the India vs Sri Lanka Test series, Jadeja posted a video of himself on his Twitter and Instagram account. The southpaw, who is known for trying out different hairstyles and beard patterns, decided to experiment with his beard. In the video, Jadeja sported a moustache and a ‘soul patch’. While the world is gearing up for a ‘no shave November’, the all-rounder decided to take the #breakthebeard challenge like he did during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017.
Here’s the video of Jadeja’s transformation (the song in the background is from ‘Nucleya’, in case you are wondering) –
Started #BreakTheBeard, so must start doing November right! This month is #MOThanABeard, so bringing the focus back on the mooch. #rajputboy pic.twitter.com/ehKRTySdPx

The last time he played for India in limited overs format was against West Indies in July. Before that, he played a crucial role in the Test series against Sri Lanka in August. But since then he has not been a part of the side as selectors want to groom other players before World Cup 2019. Jadeja made a comeback along with Ravichandran Ashwin into the Indian squad ahead of the India vs Sri Lanka series at home.
The 28-year-old has been in a great shape in the Ranji Trophy season 2017-18. The all-rounder from Saurashtra scored yet another First-Class double century. He picked up 7 wickets in a match against Jammy & Kashmir. He played a decent knock of 42 against Jharkhand as well and picked up two wickets.
He is currently in the second spot in ICC Test rankings for bowlers and all-rounders. His services will be crucial on the Indian pitches. The left-arm offspinner is an indispensable part of India’s Test squad.
