Cricketer Sanju Samson Donates Rs 15 Lakh To Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund

Sanju Samson is leading by example by donating Rs 15 lakh for Kerala flood victims

Indian cricketer Sanju Samson, 23, has done his bit for the Kerala floods victims by donating Rs 15 lakh to Kerala Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Samson hails from Kerala and has urged his fans to come out in support in this hour of need. The floods have been called worst one in the last century by CM Pinarayi Vijayan.

In an interview with Khaleej Times, the Rajasthan Royals star player said that he is not doing it for publicity. He said:

This is not for publicity. I do charity without letting the world know. Now, it’s the time to raise some awareness on the importance of making donation to the flood relief fund and people like me have to do it and let know the public. I think my action will prompt several other people to come forward and support the flood-hit people.

He has been active through his Facebook page, sharing details of the bank account through which people can donate.

“It’s time for everyone to join hands and make whatever contribution they can to help those affected by the flood. I feel it’s my duty to promote the message of relief work. I hope people will come forward and help the government and those in need,” he added.

Twitter could not stop praising him for his gesture:

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya recorded a video and urged people to the needful by donating. Sportspersons and celebrities have also tried to spread awareness about helping the needy stuck in the flood-affected state.
