This 19-year-old Hungarian swimmer broke Michael Phelps’ 18-year world record in the 200 metres butterfly event. Kristof Milak from Budapest clocked 1:50:73 to win gold medal at the World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju, South Korea beating Phelps’ 1:51.51 world record at the 2009 World Championships in Rome. Milak is now the youngest winner in the 200-metre butterfly category in the world. Phelps first set the record in 2000 at the age of 15 and has broken his record seven times since then.
