Virat Kohli hits a six and ball boy takes a single handed catch beyond boundary line – Watch Video

Colin Munro, who was the fielder near the boundary, couldn't do anything except watching the ball crossing the boundary line

Virat Kohli received a heartwarming welcome at the Wankhede Stadium when he came out to bat in his 200th ODI. However, the Indian team was struggling badly at that moment when he stepped in. After winning the toss, India batted first and lost the first wicket in the 4th over. Shikhar Dhawan was the man to depart first and the scoreboard showed IND – 16/1. From that point, Kohli took the charge and started punishing the Kiwi bowlers in style.

In the 25th over, Kiwi speedster Adam Milne bowled a short delivery to which Virat Kohli got inside and pulled it for six towards the fine-leg boundary to Kohli. Colin Munro, who was the fielder near the boundary, couldn’t do anything except watching the ball crossing the boundary line. However, a young ball boy ran towards the ball and took a stunning single handed catch.

As soon he took the blinder, the commentators in the commentary box praised his efforts. The boy was donning the jersey of Mumbai U-14 team and wearing a cap.

In the same over, Virat Kohli got his 46th ODI half-century which he got by hitting a four.

Earlier in the 19th over, Kohli was dropped by spinner Mitchell Santner who was fielding at the cover area. It was not a difficult catch. Probably Santner didn’t expect the ball to come so quickly. Kohli had scored 29 runs by then and later he got a fifty and went on.

By the time of filing the report, Virat Kohli was playing on 92 off 105 balls. India scored 209 after losing 5 wickets
