Virat Kohli rarely minces his words, whether it is off the field or during the play. Kohli responds to sledges and attacks from the bowlers not only with words but with his bat as well. This time, Kohli let his bat do the talking after Rabada bowled a short ball which hit him in the ribs just under the arm.
It happened in the 8th over of India’s innings. Rabada was trying to bang the ball short and create problems for the Indian batsmen. He succeeded when Kohli tried to pull the short ball but it hit him in the ribs. Kohli took his time to recover from the severe blow and took guard after a few seconds.
Rabada ran-in to bowl short yet again but this time Kohli was ready for it. He got into the position pretty quickly and pulled the ball for a maximum over fine leg. Rabada was left speechless as Kohli was one step ahead of him this time. He could only see the ball sailing over the ropes.
