You will not have seen Australia in a worse position in cricket. Australia lost the second successive Test match against South Africa on Tuesday. The humiliation was complete as the Aussie batting line-up collapsed yet again as they lost eight wickets for 32 runs to lose the series by an innings and 80 runs. This was the second batting collapse in the Test after they were bowled out for 85 runs in the first innings.
South African fast bowlers Kyle Abbott wreck havoc on Australia batsmen as he took 6 wickets for 77 runs. Kagiso Rabada also scalped 4 Australian batsmen for 32 runs to complete the rout. The Australians were bundled out for 161 runs. This was their second massive defeat in the Test series. They lost the Test match at Perth by 177 runs.
The wicket tumble began when Usman Khawaja was dismissed by Abott just after 20 minutes. Voges came on the crease. But couldn’t do much as he edged the ball in an attempt to withdraw. The bad batting of the Australian team can be gauged from the scores of last 6 batsmen. They scored 2, 1, 6, 0, 0, 6 and 4.
