Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq will always be remembered for being a poor runner between the wickets. During his entire career as a cricketer, Inzy Bhai has been caught in comical run-outs several times.
He has an interesting stats to his name — that of getting run-out 40 times in ODI cricket.
Now, in 2018, his nephew Imam-ul-Haq seems to be continuing the legacy and was recently involved in a comical dismissal with Azhar Ali.
The incident happened during Pakistan’s tour match against Northamptonshire at County Ground, Northampton on May 7. Imam-ul-Haq, who came to open the innings for Pakistan with Azhar Ali during the second innings, hit the ball to fine leg and without looking at his partner Azhar Ali, Imam-ul-Haq started to run, keeping his eyes at the ball. Ali, who, despite making best attempts to avoid a collision, ended up barging into the batsman.
In the end, Ali failed to reach the crease before the bails were dislodged by a direct hit.
