Tennis star Sania Mirza is married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik for six years but continues to play for India. So, in case the couple have children in future and they decided to become sportspersons, which country they will represent?
The 30-year-old tennis player was asked the same question by filmmaker Sajid Khan, who hosts talk show Yaaron Ki Baraat. Sania appeared on the show with her close friend and Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra.
To which, the Hyderabadi had a perfect response. She said there has not been a discussion on this topic. Most importantly, she is not sure whether her child would intend to become an athlete or has some other aspiration. Adding further, Sania said she is a proud Indian and Shaoib a proud Pakistani. But the duo is happy being a proud couple.
Sania Mirza married Shoaib Malik in 2010 at a traditional Muslim ceremony in Hyderabad. The wedding had received a lot of attention that year, as Google Trends named her as the most searched sportsperson that year.
