5 things you can do while Union Budget 2018 takes over social media

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will present Union Budget for the year 2018 on February 1, and one thing’s for sure – the budget will take over social media. Yes, Facebook and Twitter will be filled with budget related rants, tweets and memes.

If you’re someone who doesn’t really care much about the nuances and would rather wait for someone to give you a gist of the salient points, we suggest you lay low for a while and cut off from social media. So what do you do while everyone is going on about the budget?

Here are a few ideas:

1) Step into the ‘real world’

Sounds radical, but try it. The graphics are crappy and the plot isn’t that great, but we’ve heard it’s worth keeping one foot out in the real world. Just for the novelty of it.

Watch TV for a change

You remember that old box in your room that you once used to watch friends on? Before Netflix and YouTube happened? Yeah, how about switch it on and watch your shows on TV for a while! Stay away from news channels though.

Get to know your family

They’re the people living in your house, you know, the ones that gave you life and keep calling you out of your room for dinner and stuff? They seem to be pretty chill people. Go talk to them for a change now that you have all this time on your hands.

Cook something for yourself

Let your cook chill for a while and take things into your own hands. Nothing major, try making a simple grilled sandwich or omelette. If nothing else works, there’s always Maggi.

Start a new Netflix series

Who TF are we kidding. We all know this is the only thing on the list that you’ll actually do.
