She hit headlines when her borderline soft-porn Instagram account transformed into one that featured her in a nun’s attire and she announced the change of heart she went through. Hayat has hit headlines for another religious reason now, and we are speechless at her attention-grabbing skills.
Sofia Hayat got the soles of her feet inked with the Swastika, which is a religious symbol of high importance to Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Of course, the backlash was expected and we cannot be sure if the model-actor was not expecting this. Right after the photo was posted on social media, Hayat received a lot of angry comments and she posted an explanation via Instagram which read:
Ok..so my last photo was me having tatoos on my feet…the sacred swastika..found on the feet of BUDDHA.. the sacred .. eternal..self existence..the star of David..the Islamic moon..universal manifestation..the Sun..hindu swastika..ancient christian cross..buddhist..tibetan..it encompasses the all..the power of the universe at my feet so to at yours..wake up..we are one!
A symbol is just a symbol and it is the intent that makes the difference. A scalpel in the hands of a surgeon is a tool in his profession can save a life; while in the hands of a perpetrator is unlawful possession of a weapon, in the eyes of the law, to commit a crime.
Somehow, the model-actress seems to have thrown a challenge to most religions via her antiques and has gotten away with it every single time. Whosoever she prays to, she must pray really hard to get away with this every time. Hayat also posted this piece of information. You know, just in case you thought she did not know what she was doing with her life.
