After unveiling its flagship smartphone iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in September, tech giant Apple is planning to launch its new Macbook laptops on October 27, 2016.
According to a report by Recode, the launch event is likely to take place near Apple’s Cupertino campus rather than San Francisco, which has been the hub of its launch events for a long time. If rumours are to be believed, Apple is planning to overhaul its entire Mac lineup and new Macbook Pro models are likely to take the center-stage during the event.
The new Macbook is likely to feature a sleek body along with OLED touch panel that replaces the need of having physical keys on the keyboard. The new Mac are also likely to include support for Touch ID and Thunderbolt 3. Apple is also said to replace USB-A port and an HDMI port with a USB-C port, Mac Rumours reported.
If the rumours are true, Apple’s event is in line with the upcoming holiday season and could provide a big boost to its sales globally.
