What is the biggest challenge you have had to overcome? Overbearing parents? High school? Getting rid of a job that slowly eats up everything good in your life and leaves you a spiritless being? What your accomplishments are, you can never trump this kid. His accomplishment? Being born. No, hear me out. He was born in spite of his mother having an Intrauterine Device (IUD) implanted inside her womb.
An American woman named Lucy Hellein posted a photo of her newborn named Dexter Tyler on Instagram. While the picture looks harmless, it has a story to tell. If you look closely, little Dexter is holding his mother’s Mirena IUD contraceptive device in hand. Apparently, he was born with it. Or so they say.
Hellein had gotten the copper T administered months before she found out that she was 18 weeks pregnant in December. Lucy has now nicknamed her baby ‘The Last Jedi’. Mostly since his original due date was scheduled on May 4, which marks Star Wars Day. “Even my OB said The Force is Strong with this one,” she wrote in an earlier Instagram post. “I will be having a scheduled c-section to find the mirena and close down the baby factory,” she had stated before her delivery.
Finally, on April 27, the miracle baby Dexter was born; weighing 9 pounds and 21.5 inches tall. According to Lucy, the Mirena IUD was found behind her placenta. Crazy, right?
