Bollywood superstar tweeted his pictures with the 13-year-old Malavath Poorna, the youngest girl in the world to scale Mount Everest. Poorna is also an inspiration for Rahul Bose’s biopic which goes with the same name. The movie is slated for release on 31 March and is going to clash with Tapsee Pannu and Akshay Kumar’s Naam Shabana. Amitabh Bachchan got a confused with Rahul Bose’s name and wrongly tweeted it as ‘Rahul Sen’. He corrected himself in the next tweet.

Rahul decided to make a biopic on this young girl’s achievement last year. Poorna belongs to a tribal family and lives in Nizamabad district of Telangana. Rahul Bose had earlier directed Everybody says I’m fine (2001), which was well-received, not at the box-office but non-commercially. Bose is hopeful of Poorna doing well as the story is an inspiring one. Although Rahul Bose doesn’t believe in box-office numbers, he is hopeful that the story will touch everyone’s heart.
Rahul Bose responded to Big B’s tweet and thanked him for his gesture. Yesterday, Bose arranged for a special screening for President Pranab Mukherjee, who was all praise for the movie. Popular actor and activist Gul Panag and director Nikkhil Advani also appreciated the movie and tweeted.
Sir, your warm gesture made #Poorna ‘s day (& I suspect, her life!). As for my name, as the Bard said…. @PoornaTheFilm #ReleasesMarch31 https://t.co/wf9W9FicQs
